Youth4Regions Programme For Aspiring Journalists

Aspiring journalists from the EU and other eligible countries are invited to participate in a fully-funded programme organised by the European commission. 33 participants will be flown to Brussels in October to participate in the Youth4Regions programme. The deadline is on Monday 12th July 2021.

Youth4Regions is the European Commission programme helping journalism students and young journalists to discover what the EU is doing in their region. The programme helps journalists specialise in EU regional policy and promote knowledge of EU-funded projects. 

A total of 33 places is available for the participants who will be invited to Brussels to attend the Youth4Regions Programme on a full scholarship on Sunday 10th to Friday 15th October 2021.  

The programme will offer various sessions on journalism and EU regional policy. Participants will benefit from mentorship and visits to EU media headquarters and institutions. Accommodation and travel expenses are covered by the European Commission

The deadline is on Monday 12th July 2021. 

 

Main Criteria

Applicants should be citizens of either an EU member state or an EU neighbouring country. Candidates should demonstrate interest in EU regional policy and have background in journalism. 

In order to apply, potential participants must send a short article (2500 – 6250 characters) 

or a short video report covering a project co-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund or Cohesion Fund).
