Youth Academic Conference In Romania

Young researchers, professionals and scholars are invited to apply for the UN Youth Academic Conference 2017. This year the event will take place from 21st to 23rd of April in Romanian town of Iasi and will involve discussions focusing in the theme of “UN’s role in maintaining international peace and security”. Deadline to apply is April 9th.

This will be 2-days sessions of the panels, upon the following topics:

  • Counter-terrorism
  • Humanitarian affairs
  • Sustainable development

The structure of the conference consists  of several rounds of panel sessions on the topics already enunciated. Keynote lectures and speeches are to be delivered by experts  and professors, who will share their experience with the participants and they will reveal their success stories but also the intricacy of working and dwelling in conflict ridden areas. Furthermore, the participants will have the chance to get better acquainted with each other and share their views during the social activities as well. Accordingly, during the three days of the conference, they shall thrive within an interactive and thought-provoking environment, where both social and professional networking will be possible.

Registration for panelists ends on 18th of March, for participants on 9th of April. In order to register as a panelist, you have to fill in the registration form and send it along with the abstract of your academic paper. Participants’ registration (meaning individuals who want to participate without sending an academic paper) consists solely in sending the filled in registration form to the indicated e-mail address. The registration form can be downloaded from here.

Participation fee  is 40 EUR (without accomodation), accomodation fee is 45 EUR. The fee includes: accommodation (by case), lunches, coffee breaks and snacks, welcoming kit, participation certificate.
