Wonderful Spots Of Our Planet

Some places are just  "must visit". Apart from this, there are certain regions on this Earth that feel quite like they belong another world. Accept our invitation to a little tour of the most exceptional.


Chamarel – a village in Mauritius
Among other interesting places in this area is  the Coloured Earths.  It’s a phenomenal stretch of 4 kilometres which has acquired it’s colourful appeareance due to molten rocks.


Salar de Uyuni
The largest salt flat, located in South West Bolivia. The size is 10,582 km2.


Deadvlei
Dead valley is a white clay pan in the Namib-Naukluft Park, Namibia. When the river Tsauchab flooded, the climate allowed the camel thorn trees to grow. After the climate changed, the sand dunes didn´t allow the river to reach the trees again, which are estimated to be 900 years old. The trees died and today they stick out as silent witnesses.


Painted Desert in Arizona
The painted desert owes its colours to the layers of eroded Siltstone, Mudstone and the Triassic Chinle Formation. The iron and manganese compounds within, create various pigments.


Danakil Desert
It is known as the lowest and the hottest place on Earth. The desert which lies in the North East of Ethiopia was created by volcanoes with very hot temperatues which reach more than 50 °C.

The colour pink is due to the high concentration of algae in the water.
