University of Lausanne Annual Master’s Scholarships

Prospective master students at the University of Lausanne are invited to apply for a monthly scholarship of CHF 1,600. The deadline is on 1st November annually.

The University of Lausanne (UNIL) is a higher teaching and research institution composed of seven faculties.

Its research activities focus on three main themes: human and social sciences, life sciences and medicine, and environmental sciences.

The scholarship is granted for the minimum period of the programme chosen by the student.

It amounts to CHF 1,600 per month from 15 September to 15 for the complete duration of the programme.

Candidates should have obtained a foreign university degree equivalent to a bachelor at UNIL before the beginning of the masters programme.

Academic excellence, B2 level of French and C1 level of English are required. A list of eligible master’s programmes can be found here.

The application for the Master’s scholarship also serves as an application for admission to your chosen masters.

The deadline is on 1st November annually.

 

Main Criteria

  • A complete curriculum vitae.
  • A cover letter.
  • Two original letters of recommendation from the candidate’s lecturers, in sealed envelopes.
  • A copy of the official certificate of knowledge of the language in which the master is taught with at least a B2 CEFR level.
