Two-Month Paid Creative Fellowship For African Storytellers and Creators

The HQ team is making a call for applications for Amplify HQ, a paid two-month creative fellowship programme for African storytellers and creators, with a lens focused on Africa’s narratives and stories coming from the pandemic.

COVID HQ Africa was created by The Mastercard Foundation in partnership with the Zain Verjee Group, NAMU Communications, and The Africa CDC, to provide an easily accessible destination for stories and information about COVID19 on the continent of Africa.

This year’s fellowship will take place from Friday 15th October to Wednesday 15th 2021.

Fellows will be selected to receive training and mentoring in content creation and media, and have their work published on the covidhqafrica.com. Each fellow will receive a $500 stipend each month.

The selection criteria for the programme will include candidates creative pursuits so far, content creation aspirations, alignment with Amplify’s vision, and other factors.

Applicants will be notified of their status by Monday October 11th.

The deadline is on Wednesday 6th October 2021.
