If you have a Bachelor’s degree, you can boost your leadership skills by volunteering at an organization in the US with all expenses paid. Atlas Corps is an international network of social sector leaders and organizations that promotes cooperation. Their mission is to address social issues through an overseas fellowship of skilled nonprofit professionals. The deadline is on 1 May 2020.
The Atlas Corps Fellowship is a 12-18 month Fellowship in the United States and online for the world’s top social change leaders. Fellows serve full-time at Host Organizations to learn effective practices through the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab professional development series. Atlas Corps accepts applications year-round, but applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline on 1 May 2020 to be considered for Fellowships beginning in January 2021.
Atlas Corps sponsors the J-1 Trainee visa and covers most visa expenses. Atlas Corps also provides each Fellow with a living stipend to cover basic expenses (food, local transportation, and shared housing), a monthly phone plan, emergency health and travel insurance, and round-trip international airfare.
Thanks to the support of the U.S. State Department, Atlas Corps has a special focus on rising leaders from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestinian Territories, and Russia.
