Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

Applications are now open for thу Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme. Students from all around the world are invited to apply for higher educational studies in Hungary. The programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government. The deadline is on February 16, 2018.

The main goal of the programme regarding the education policy is to support the internationalisation of the Hungarian higher education and its constant development, to strengthen the international relations of the Hungarian academic and research community.

Scholarships will cover tuition fees and accommodation as well as provide a monthly stipend of EUR 130 for Bachelors and EUR 450 for Doctorates. Health care services will also be provided according to the relevant Hungarian legislation.

Main criteria

  • The scholarship is open for international students;
  • Students should have a level of English proficiency required by the host institution in order to complete studies in English;
  • If a student chooses a course taught in Hungarian, they should participate in a one-year preparatory Hungarian language course before starting their higher education studies.

The applicants must fill out and save all requested information on the online application form in English language. A letter of motivation, language certificates, and school certificates should be attached to the application form.
