Spend A Year In London: Fellowship In The Queen Elizabeth II Academy

The Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership in International Affairs offers the opportunity to spend up to 12 months at Chatham House in London, UK. Young and experienced leaders are invited to apply for new fellowships. Deadline is May 31st.

Launched in November 2014 by Chatham House’s patron HM The Queen, the Academy offers potential and established leaders from around the world the opportunity to spend up to twelve months as Academy fellows. The Academy opens its call for applications once every year and does not accept applications outside these calls.

Main criteria:

  • Fellows should be driven by a set of common values including a commitment to transparency, accountability and shared responsibility. They should be ready to explore new approaches, to learn new skills and to apply these.
  • Academy fellowships are currently available to applicants from the following countries: Afghanistan, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, People’s Republic of China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, Pakistan, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Syria, Ukraine.
  • Applicants must propose a research project that fits within the topics advertised for the fellowship.
  • Academy fellowship candidates should, at a minimum, have completed a BA degree or equivalent, although an MA degree with an international focus is preferred.
  • Academy fellows will be in the early stages of their career, have between two to five years of relevant work experience, and have demonstrated evidence of consistent achievement.
  • All fellows should have good levels of English, both written and verbal.
