South American Business Forum: The Power Paradox

Undergraduate, graduate students and recently graduated professionals are welcome to apply for the annual South American Business Forum which will be held in Buenos Aires in August. Each year the forum receives 100 outstanding university students from around the world together with 40 leaders of business, political and academic areas.  The deadline is on April 30th.

The event explores topics of global relevance and particularly applicable to the reality of South America. It is expected that, through dialogue and the interaction between the current leaders and the future leaders, a contribution to the sustainable development of the region can be made. This year the subtopics to be discussed at the conference are “In Sync with Technology”, “Systems Facing Obsolescence”, “Leading Through Uncertainty”.

In the 2017 SABF edition, all selected participants will receive a coverage of their accommodation, catering, access to all events as well as transfer during the conference. Plane tickets to and from Argentina are the expense of the participants or their university.

This year, the event will take place on 3– 5 August 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Main criteria

  • To participate in the South American Business Forum it is required to write an essay that shows original ideas. Essays will be evaluated based on the degree of relationship with chosen theme or subtopic as well as coherence and clarity of writing. Essays should be between 1200 and 1800 words in length, written in Spanish or English;
  • Candidates should be born after January 1st, 1992. Undergraduate or graduate students and those who graduated in 2017 or 2018 are eligible to apply.
