Social Enterprise World Forum in Italy

Applications are now open for those interested in taking part in the Social Enterprise World Forum 2015 in Milan, Italy. The event will take place July 1st until July 3rd and is the 8th edition of the Forum and its first time back to Europe after the launch in Edinburgh in 2008. The official theme of the event is “Growing a New Economy.”

The Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) is the international event for social enterprises all over the world to come together and discuss policy and practice, to learn from one another and to network.

The audience is represented from an eclectic mix of organizations, from community projects, large scale social enterprises and both the public and private sector. Delegates are encouraged to attend from all types of organizations with interest in social enterprise and in making a difference in the world.

The Forum will officially open at the Expo Auditorium, while the following two days will be hosted by the IULM University. The SEWF offers an intense pre and post-Forum program with field visits to the most exciting and innovative Italian social enterprises in the north, center and south of Italy.

The Forum will focus on five themes, such as the ecosystem for the development of social enterprises, impact investing, the role of the social enterprises in the fight against poverty, social enterprises in agriculture and an effective communication and design for social enterprises.

In order to register for the event, applicants need to pay a fee that doesn’t include accommodation and flights.
