Ethical Entrepreneurship In Modern Youth Society: A Short Summary Of The Best Events From...
From 23rd to 27th of November, Youth Time International Movement in collaboration with the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare in the UAE hosted its third annual Youth Global Forum. The location for hosting the event was the cosmopolitan metropolis of Dubai with the forum bringing together experts and participants coming from a diverse range of countries and backgrounds. Attendees were exposed to a variety of innovative masterclasses and workshops which touched upon topics related to the overall theme of the event – Ethical Entrepreneurship in the Time of a Competitive Knowledge-based Economy. Further, thirteen social enterprise projects were presented by participants with one winner receiving Youth Time’s Idea Grant to convert their idea into a reality!

. . . says Victoria Ibiwoye (23), an inspiring young Nigerian, African leader, and the Executive Director of the OneAfricanChildren Foundation. Miss Ibiwoye has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans of 2017 by Africa Youth Awards for transforming the lives of thousands of children in marginalized communities through creative learning and empowerment initiatives. At an early age, she struggled with dyslexia, but she used her weakness to turn it into a powerful force – she realised that she was good in storytelling and started educating two kids in her neighbourhood. This small step inspired some of her friends and local students to help as well, and soon what began as a charity group turned into a social enterprise that is re-defining education in Nigeria and Kenya today. Victoria is the best example of how much one can achieve given an ability to put heart, mind, and vision to work for the sake of a higher purpose.

Professor Hossam Haick (41), a scientist at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, has already made an impact on the world and is an inspiration for today’s youth. Best known for inventing the NA-NOSE breath analyzer, used for sniffing out diseases, this man has already made contributions in many areas of science, including Nanotechnology and biomedical devices. In 2007, Hossam appeared on the list of 50 leading Israelis and four award-winning Israeli scientists. In 2008, Hossam appeared on the MIT Technology Review list of 35 leading young scientists in the world. In 2010, he was named one of the 10 Most Promising Young Israeli Scientists and one of the Young Israelis of the Year. In 2013, he received a listing of the "50 Sharpest Israeli Minds" by the Marker. In 2015 he received a listing among the world’s top-100 most influential innovators in Digital Technology for 2015 by Nominet Trust (London, UK). In 2016, he received a listing among the world’s top-100 most influential scientists in the Medical Field for 2016 by the GOOD Magazine (Los Angeles, USA). Additionally, he has received more than 52 prizes and honors. We at Youth Time are privileged to have an interview with him.
