The Importance of Risk Management
Foods with High Vitamin D Content
The importance of vitamin D is indisputable. The simplest and the most serious health issues may originate with a lack of vitamin D. Our grandmothers knew about this quite naturally and also understood the symptoms of lack of vitamin D; and yet, the knowledge got lost somewhere. Not only do we no longer benefit from this fundamental wisdom, but when we want to check up on our vitamin D level, we may hit a brick wall.

Anxiety in a Nutshell
Since creation human beings have been given a whole set of emotions and feelings. Disregarding whether the feeling is bad or good has its own reason and design. In an article published by Barbara L. Fredrickson titled “The Role of Positive Emotions in Positive Psychology. The Broaden-and-Build Theory of Positive Emotions”, there is a report on detailed research into the roles and effects of positive emotions. However, setting aside the positive feelings which make us more spiritually alive, it is important note that such negative feelings as fear, panic, pain, etc. have their functions as well. One of the most basic imperatives they serve is protection and the instinct for self-preservation. However, it is no less evident that if an individual becomes overly obsessed by one of those negative emotions, the flow of life, as well as all vital activities, may be in jeopardy.

Water – A Challenge For Our Time
A news item regarding the shortage of water in Cape Town recently circulated through periodicals all over the world and caused a shock, and not just to those who will be impacted directly. A limit to the supply of drinking water that will begin no later last than April 22 is the unqualified order from city officials, with the possibility that rationing will be pushed even further forward to an earlier date.
Popularity Is Dangerous – Legendary Kopi Luwak Coffee – Exploiting Animals!
Probably the most expensive coffee – at US$700 per kilo – comes from the most unusual production process. Judge for yourself: Coffee cherries are eaten by the Asian palm civet, then defecated, and the coffee beans collected from the fecal matter and roasted. Traditionally produced in Sumatra, Java, or Indonesia, the beans used to be collected from civets living in the wild, however . . . as the demand for Kopi Luwak Coffee rose, the coffee business adapted. So Asian palm civets are now kept in captivity, in miserable living conditions, in cages, and badly fed.
Interpersonal Conflicts as the Way of Caring Demonstration
If you have read any of my previous articles, then you may already have an understanding of the term “conflict”: what it is exactly, how to distinguish interests and positions, and even how to behave in many different situations. But, I’m afraid, there’s still one important question: why? Why do we often have disagreements with people we love, appreciate, or respect? That’s exactly what I’m going to answer now.

How Can We Become Highly Effective People?
Essential to the maturation and development of every human being is the individual’s innate desire to progress, to accomplish his own goals, and constantly renew himself, to become happy and satisfied. Most people on the way to their goals encounter a series of challenges and problems, which some successfully overcome, while others do not. In such cases, people agree on the need for a script to determine why they cannot, but they do not know how to proceed, and they do not know how to accomplish what they want and simultaneously improve the lives of those around them. The question is why that is so. If both the successful and the unsuccessful man had the same conditions, the same 24 hours for achieving a goal, what is the difference between the one who is successful and the one who is not?

Positive Thinking and the Brain
You've heard often that it's important to think positively, right? Have you wondered why this is important? Has it ever occurred to you that the focus of modern popular psychology is concentrated on positive thoughts? The main reason lies in the discovery that positive thoughts act to stimulate the brain, soul, and body and contribute to progressive personal development and business success, maintaining the health of the whole organism, and especially the immune system. Additionally, it is fascinating to consider that scientific studies have found that people with positive thoughts have long lives. It seems to me that these are sufficient reasons to deal seriously with education about positive thoughts ... and let's start in order.

The Story Behind A 19-year Old Girl Who Created Diagnostic Test For Ebola Detection
It is hard to believe there are still many fatal, not sufficiently explored diseases in the 21st century. One of them, Ebola, took more than 11.000 lives during a three-year-long outbreak in West Africa. In order to increase the public’s awareness of this issue and help students to understand more about how Ebola is diagnosed and treated, Sadhana Anantha, only 19, has designed a simulation of the diagnostic test for this illness. The way she did it and the feedback afterwards brought her the title of 2016 National Young Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of the USA. This is her story.
Perhaps You Didn’t Know, But These 10 Common Words Were Named After People
One day you are an average person and suddenly, the very next day, your name becomes an item in a dictionary. An Eponym is a person after whom an invention, phenomenon, or discovery is named. The War against Uncontrolled Sand Mining in Northern Nigeria
Every day, hundreds of donkeys, tipper lorries, wheelbarrows, head pans, and shovels are used to dig sand running into millions of tons and move it to where it is used in building houses and constructing other structures across Nigeria. Many people ignore the fact that the indiscriminate digging of sand is dangerous; and that encroaching on farmlands can reduce farming activities needed for food security and income for farmers and more revenue to the government. Farming reduces poverty and hunger. Apart from the fact that natural resources should be used properly, local residents should be made to understand the consequences of acting otherwise.
