Scholarships at Dali University

Specializing in research and teaching, Dali University which is in the popular tourist destination of Dali in Yunnan in China is currently offering scholarships for students from countries other than China. One of the major attractions of Dali are the Cang mountains with summits ranging from 3,500 metres to 4122 metres. Dali is also known as the city of landscapes.

The university has had thousands of international students graduating out of it and at any given time there are a few hundred students from various countries studying there.

The scholarships are offered in association with the Confucius Institute which is a program that began over a decade and a half back. The institute is said to be basically a language and culture promotion organization.

Eligibility

Apart from being non Chinese citizens the candidates must be in the age group of 16 to 35 as on September 1, 2020. An additional requirement is that the candidates must be committed to teaching and international promotion of Chinese language. For those who are already teachers of Chinese language the age limit is 45.

Award

The award covers:

  • tuition fee
  • accommodation
  • subsidy towards subsistence and
  • medical insurance.

The last date for sending in applications is June 30, 2020.
