Remote Summer Internships at RStudio – US Work Permit Required

Students are invited to join experienced data scientists, software developers, and educators to create and share new tools and ideas. To qualify, you must currently be a student and have some experience writing code in R and using Git and GitHub. The internship pays up to $12,000 USD (paid hourly) and will last 10-12 weeks. RStudio is a company that creates free and open-source software for data science, scientific research, and technical communication.

They do this to enhance the production and consumption of knowledge by everyone, regardless of economic means, and to facilitate collaboration and reproducible research.

The internship pays up to $12,000 USD (paid hourly) and will last 10-12 weeks. The start date is May 24th–June 7th, depending on your availability.

Interns may choose to join one of the projects currently hiring new members. These include areas such as shinymodels, cpp11, cheat sheets, exercise content, R markdown, or marketing.

The internship is 100% remote. RStudio provides fully paid medical, dental and vision coverage for employees and their families.

Additionally, interns will benefit from flexible time off, profit sharing programme, a twice-yearly in-person gathering of the whole company, and a 401(k) retirement programme with a matching contributions programme.

Main Criteria

Applicants must legally be able to work in the United States.

Candidates should have general R experience and be able to efficiently use Git/GitHub.
