Remote Fundraising Internship at United Way of America

Current university students are invited for a remote internship that will take place in January – April 2021. Candidates will work with United Way, the largest non-profit organization that focuses on community-based projects in education, health, and financial literacy. Application process is ongoing.

Remote Fundraising Internship

Remote Fundraising Internship: United Way of America, based in Alexandria, Virginia, is a nonprofit organization that works is engaged in nearly 1,800 communities across more than 40 countries and territories worldwide in a coalition of charitable organizations to pool efforts in fundraising and support.

They are focused on creating community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the cornerstones for a good quality of life: education, financial stability and health.

Spring 2021 internships will take place from 18 January – 16 April. In addition to the hands-on experience you’ll receive working at the largest nonprofit in the world, you will be provided with weekly professional development workshops.

Interns will:

  • create and update internal project management tracking tools,
  • support efforts in project management,
  • collaborate with team members to generate ideas for improvements,
  • and do grant reporting.

This internship takes place 100% remote for the Spring 2021 semester. Applicants must be authorized to work within the United States and have all required documentation proving their authorization at the time of their application.

Main criteria

The internship opportunities are open to current students of a college program, or within 2 years of graduating.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and timelines while being detail-oriented and high Microsoft Suite proficiency are required.
