PhD Scholarship In Medicinal Chemistry In Denmark

A PhD scholarship in Medicinal Chemistry is available at Technical University of Denmark. You will work with fragment-based drug discovery (FBDD) as part of a collaboration between DTU, the University of Copenhagen and the University of Miami. The deadline is on Friday 18th June 2021.

Technical University of Denmark is a leading technical university globally recognised for the excellence of its research, education, innovation and scientific advice.

Scholarships will join a team looking to develop small molecules with potential for studying and treating inflammatory disorders, such as neurodegenerative disease.

You will be responsible for screening our in-house fragment collection against protein targets and performing follow-up secondary screening using biophysical methods.

Candidates must have a two-year master’s degree in either medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry or pharmacy. The language of communication at DTU is English.

The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years.

The deadline is on Friday 18th June 2021. 

 

Main Criteria

  • A letter motivating the application (cover letter)
  • Curriculum vitae, including any publications and contact information of at least two references
  • Grade transcripts and BSc/MSc diploma
  • Excel sheet with translation of grades to the Danish grading system
