United Nations Children’s Fund is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. The UNICEF Migration Team based in the Programme Division is recruiting two interns to support across different programmatic areas. All interns will work with the team towards implementing UNICEF Six Point Agenda on Children on the Move and support the Headquarters’ functions on coordination, knowledge management, policy and programming guidance and partnerships.

There are two remote intern positions available for students – one reporting to Geneva-based team and one reporting to New York-based team. The first intern will support the Senior Advisor Migration on engaging with the UN Migration Network. Responsibilities will include providing background research, analysis and writing on demand, developing briefing documents and talking points. The second remote intern will support the Policy Specialist Migration on global coordination of UNICEF action across HQ, regional and country offices and global knowledge management. This includes enabling staff globally to find the right information at the right time through the maintenance of the UNICEF Knowledge Domain on Children on the Move. This will be a full-time 26-week internship with a monthly stipend of $1,700.
