Opportunity For Photographers To Join Partially-Funded Japan Photo Tour

JapanTravel.com, an inbound travel website, is inviting young and promising photojournalists and videographers to apply for a Photojournalism Program 2016 and experience 4-week-long journey around Japan. There's no particular deadline. Now organisers are recruiting for April–November 2016.

Each year the organization takes over 30 talented photojournalists and videographers on a month-long journey around Japan. They support accommodation and travel expenses on a trip that will combine the places participants want to visit alongside the opportunity to join in exciting cultural projects.

As a participant of the program you will have opportunities to:

  • Produce articles, photos or videos whilst travelling around Japan;
  • Immerse yourself in Japanese culture, interact with local people and gain a unique view of Japan;
  • Be published in print media.

This internship is available for any applicable period between April–November 2016.

Main criteria:

  • Photography experience and a portfolio of work done so far;

  • Ability to communicate in English in addition to written fluency in one of the following languages – English, Chinese (Traditional & Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, French, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic or Spanish;

  • All applicants should be over the age of 20 and have a valid passport.
