NIOD Junior Fellowships For PhD Candidates

Young researchers from the Netherlands and abroad are invited to compete for a junior fellowship of up to two months at NIOD. Fellows will be able to access to archival and literature research in The Netherlands. The deadline is on Tuesday 1st June 2021.

The NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies is an organisation in the Netherlands which maintains archives and carries out historical studies into the Second World War, the Holocaust and other genocides around the world, past and present.

The aim of the junior fellowships is to enable young researchers to do archival or literature research at NIOD or elsewhere in Amsterdam/The Netherlands, to write an article or research proposal or to otherwise collaborate with researchers and programmes at NIOD. 

The programme provides accommodation and furnished workplace at NIOD for two months, a stipend €1,250, and a monthly housing allowance of max. €1,000 

The deadline is on Tuesday 1st June 2021.

 

Main Criteria

The programme is open to PhD candidates and young researchers who have obtained their PhD less than four years ago.

Application should include a cover letter of max. 400 words, a CV, and preliminary work plan
