To understand the evolution of music since the Middle Ages you can read stacks of books or listen to hundreds of compositions and songs. Or not. The PENTATONIX ensemble, consisting of 5 vocalists, is an a cappella group that has been on the scene since 2011 and has managed to win multiple awards. These five – namely Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Mitch Grassi – have done a short video where they have covered the musical waterfront from the 11th century into modern times.
