HKU Presidential Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Fresh PhD graduates and post-doc students are invited to apply for a three-year fellowship at the University of Hong Kong. Participants will receive an annual salary of $80,000 in addition to a research grant and conference support. The deadline is on Wednesday 30th June 2021.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) launched the Presidential Post-doctoral Fellowship (HKU-PPF) in 2019 with the objective of hosting the world’s finest post-doctoral talents to undertake frontier research at HKU. 

The fellowship may last for up to three years. The annual salary starts at approx. $80,000 and includes an accommodation subsidy.

Annual benefits also include a research grant of $6,400 and conference support of $2,100.

Interested applicants should upload their cover letter, CV with full publication list, official PhD certificate, and succinct research proposal.

Applications are invited year-round but should be submitted at least six months before the proposed appointment start date.

The deadline is on Wednesday 30th June 2021. 

 

Main Criteria

Shortlisted applicants will be requested to arrange for at least three references, including one from their PhD supervisor/advisor.

Typical candidates will be fresh PhD graduates of leading global universities with highest distinction and awards, although outstanding post-doctoral candidates within two years of graduation from a PhD programme may also be considered.
