Applications are open for the GlobalGiving Accelerator Programme 2021. The programme is a virtual training programme and crowdfunding campaign that will help nonprofit organisations acquire necessary skills in fundraising. During the programme, participants will get a chance to secure at least $5,000 in funding. The deadline is on 5 February 2021.
GlobalGiving is a nonprofit that supports other nonprofits by connecting them to donors and companies. Since 2002, they’ve helped trusted, community-led organisations around the world access the tools, training, and support needed to raise funds for company development.
Following an optional one-week training curriculum, participants be entered into an Accelerator campaign where they’ll raise at least $5,000 total from a minimum of 40 different donors to graduate and secure a permanent fundraising spot on the GlobalGiving platform.
The training covers several topics such as crowdfunding, mapping potential donor network, storytelling, and email appeals, and creating SMART goals.
During the 24-hour bonus day, all accelerator participants will compete for a share of GlobalGiving’s $20,000 Incentive Fund and two $1,000 bonus prizes.
At the end of the program, prizes will be awarded to the top three organisations in the following categories: Most Funds Raised, Most Unique Donors, and Most Recurring/Monthly Donors.
The deadline is on 5 February 2021.
Main Criteria
The competition is open to nonprofit organisations anywhere in the world. Organisations participating in the accelerator can only post one project on the GlobalGiving platform during the programme.
If your project is not in English, you must include an English translation.
