Full Master Scholarships At Peking University

International students interested in pursuing China studies at Peking University are encouraged to apply for a full scholarship. The funding will cover tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipend, one round-trip travel fare, and field study costs. The deadline is on 4 December 2020.

The Yenching Academy is a postgraduate college of Peking University, located in Beijing, China. It hosts the Yenching Program, a fully funded global fellowship, designed to cultivate leaders who will advocate for global progress and cultural understanding.

The Academy offers Yenching Scholars, selected annually from around the world, with full scholarships for one or two years of study leading to a master’s degree from Peking University.

The Yenching Academy annually enrols approximately 120 new students from both the Chinese Mainland and abroad. The funding covers tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipend, one round-trip travel fare, and field study costs. The Yenching Academy graduate program focuses on the core features and values of Chinese society and the role of Chinese civilisation in the transformation of modern global culture and governance.

They also organise field studies to culturally, economically, and socio-politically significant regions within Mainland China. Chinese language study is compulsory for all international students. In addition to Yenching Academy course offerings, scholars may select courses in other Peking University departments, taught in either Chinese or English.

The deadline is on 4 December 2020.

 

Main Criteria

Applicants should have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in any field or be currently enrolled in a degree program. Candidates should demonstrate an outstanding academic record and a strong interest in the interdisciplinary study of China.

A track record of extracurricular achievements should feature community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential. English proficiency is required.
