Global Sourcing Internship at General Mills
General Mills is a leading American producer of packaged consumer foods, especially flour, breakfast cereals, snacks, prepared mixes, and similar products. It is also one of the largest food service manufacturers in the world. As a Global Sourcing Buyer, you will define and develop global sourcing strategies with senior stakeholders, support cost savings projects, and be a key contributor in the preparation of tenders and key suppliers’ negotiation.
Interns will liaise externally with suppliers and internally with regional buyers. Critical parts of the role include working in cooperation with the sourcing team to support the development and execution/implementation of strategic categories for General Mills. You will develop strong understanding of macroeconomic factors and their impact and collaborate internally with cross-functional partners to create and execute strategy.

Main criteria
Candidates should be currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Economics or Management (any concentrations e.g. Finance, Marketing, etc.) and have a strong academic record. Soft skills required include interpersonal skills, analytical and decision-making skills, entrepreneurial qualities necessary for managing risk and leading change, and a curiosity and passion for learning and continuous improvement.
