European Defence Agency Annual Traineeship Programme

European Defence Agency (EDA) annually runs a year-long traineeship for recent graduates. Traineeships are open to applicants who have not previously undertaken a paid or unpaid traineeship in another European institution or a body and which lasted for more than six weeks. The deadline is on Monday 12th April 2021.

The European Defence Agency is an agency of the European Union that promotes and facilitates integration between member states within the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy.

The EDA is headed by the High Representative, and reports to the Council.

Traineeships start in September and begin either on the 1st or on the 16th of the month. Placements are typically offered for a fixed period of twelve months.

Trainees are awarded a monthly allowance that currently amounts to €1,229,32.

Disabled trainees may receive a supplement to their monthly allowance equal to a maximum of 50% of the amount of the allowance, to help cover extra expenses (e.g. transport, cost of special accommodation) related to their disability.

The deadline is on Monday 12th April 2021.
