Edmund S. Muskie Internship Programme

Fulbright foreign students from selected countries are invited to apply for the Edmund S. Muskie Internship Programme. This is a fully-funded summer internship programme that aims to provide graduate students with real-world skills. Applications for the 2022 Muskie internship programme will open in the fall 2021.

The Edmund S. Muskie Internship Programme is a summer internship program funded by the US Department of State since 2015 that provides emerging leaders of the Fulbright Programme from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia with the opportunity to enrich their graduate studies in the United States.

Participants will experience different approaches used in the private, public and non-profit sectors in the US and learn how different US government agencies, NGOs, and businesses work together to address new trends, challenges, and common issues in support of American policy.

The programme will include a summer internship, a three-day orientation in Washington, D.C., team-building exercises, and networking opportunities.

Costs to participate in the programme are covered by the grant, and participants will receive a stipend to cover living expenses in the cities in which their host internship takes place.

Applications for the 2022 Muskie internship programme will open in the fall 2021.
