Democracy Now! Video Production Fellowships

Young people wishing to hone their camera and video editing skills are invited to join Democracy Now! on a year-long paid fellowship in New York. Applicants should have a valid US work authorisation. The deadline is on Sunday 15th August 2021.

Democracy Now! is one of the leading U.S.-based independent daily news broadcasts in the world.

Since their founding in 1996, Democracy Now! has held steadfast to their policy of not accepting government funding, corporate sponsorship, underwriting or advertising revenue.

Democracy Now! fellowships are full-time, one-year work placements that pay a liveable wage and include fully paid medical and dental benefits.

A successful video production fellow will have camera and video editing skills, work well under deadline pressure and have some news or editorial experience.

Fellows will be preparing video packages and visual elements for newscast and website and working with the production team during the live morning show.

Candidates should have at least three years of video shooting and editing experience. Experience with Adobe Premiere and knowledge of Spanish are encouraged.

The deadline is on Sunday 15th August 2021.
