The Asian Development Bank is a regional development bank established in 1966. The company also maintains 31 field offices around the world to promote social and economic development in Asia.
ADB maximises the development impact of its assistance by facilitating policy dialogues, providing advisory services, and mobilising financial resources through co-financing operations that tap official, commercial, and export credit sources.
The Internship Programme helps ADB enhance a platform to exchange and generate knowledge with external partners. It also enables ADB to identify potential future staff. The duration of the internship is 8-26 weeks.
A stipend is provided to all interns. Interns may choose to work beyond 56 calendar days in agreement with the designated supervisors, but without the stipend.
Upon the intern’s appointment, ADB provides a limited amount to cover part of the airfare travel cost.
The regular work schedule is 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. Any other preferred schedule should be discussed with supervisors. The internship will commence in June 2021.
The deadline is on 31 January 2021.
Internship candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s- or PhD-level program at a school in one of the ADB member nations.
Applicants must be nationals of one of the ADB member countries. Excellent command of English is required.
Candidates should provide their CV and an essay stating their motivation and level of interest to contribute to development work.
