The selected applicants will receive a monthly allowance of up to $2,000 depending on the project, travel allowance, insurance, safety and insurance workspace and residential accommodation in the communities. All Art created during the residency will be presented in a public exhibition space. The presentation should also include a short-written presentation about the experience which will be shared in our magazine at the end of the year.
The selected African countries to be visited are: Kenya, Tunisia, Mauritius, South Africa, Lagos (where the final exhibition will take place).
Please note, that due to the instability in some African Countries, the selected countries are subject to change before the start of the residency to ensure the safety of all candidates.
Main criteria
- Visual artists, designers, art writers, cultural students, applied artists who are interested in African arts and cultures;
- Fluent in English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese or German;
- Candidates should be 18-35 years old.
