IBM Research is inviting students to participate in their Quantum summer internship in the US. Internship positions in other countries will open on a rolling basis starting September 2020. Their goal is to train the future scientists, engineers, and developers across the globe who will help advance the field of quantum computing. The deadline is on 2 November 2020.

Apply for IBM Quantum Summer Internship

IBM Research is the research and development division for IBM, an American multinational information technology company headquartered in Armonk, New York, with operations in over 170 countries. IBM Research is the largest industrial research organization in the world and has twelve labs on six continents.

Interns make contributions to cutting-edge hardware, developing quantum theory, writing the software that controls our quantum computers, and building a quantum computing community.

All of our interns receive educational and professional development support, gain research and work experience with the latest quantum technologies, as well as participate in networking and social events.

IBM is planning primarily for in-person internships in 2021, but are prepared for remote internships if necessary.

Interns will have an opportunity to discuss specific timing, location, and academic calendars as part of the application process. Interns will work with one of the global IBM Research or IBM Systems labs.

Candidates currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs are encouraged to apply.

As an IBM Quantum intern, you will be part of a team whose mission is to prototype, test and release new technologies for the world to use.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary, global team of developers, designers, researchers, and engineers to bring new features to life.

The deadline is on 2 November 2020.
