Apply for Postgraduate Scholarship for Women
Earn $10,000 by applying for Postgraduate Scholarship for Women! The International Peace Research Association Foundation (IPRAF) is an organisation, founded in 1990, that aims to enhance the processes of peace.
IPRAF has engaged in peacemaking projects in the Middle East and the Balkans, provided scholarships for women from the developing world to pursue graduate education, allowed peace researchers from all around the world to travel to peace research conferences, and funded small peace research grants in places as diverse as Argentina, Bosnia, the Philippines, and Uganda.
Every other year the foundation awards two women with a scholarship to cover university-related expenses for their graduate studies. The scholarship consists of $10,000 paid over two years (the US $5,000 per year).
Awards are need-based, therefore, students with substantial funding sources are less likely to be considered for the award.
Although candidates can apply for various degree programs, their graduate work should be focused on issues related to the goals of the IPRA Foundation.
Previous fellows attended programs in epidemiology, social anthropology, global governance, political science, Africa studies, diplomacy, philosophy, gender studies, international studies, and more.
The deadline is on 16 January 2021.
The fellowship is available to women from countries in the Global South who have completed an undergraduate degree, who have been accepted into a graduate program.
Candidates should submit their applications in either English, Spanish, or French. A letter of acceptance and three letters of recommendation are required.
