Gotoco Summer Teaching Project

Young people and university students from all over the worldare welcome to join Gotoco Summer Teaching Project and earn a funded TEFL qualification at summer camps all over China. The application process is ongoing throughout February, 2018.

The camps run in the Chinese summer from early May to September, ranging from three weeks to two months. In order for volunteers to eliminate expenses, there is no participation fee for the programme and all the expenses regarding accommodation and meals are covered.

Participants will need to cover their flights and visa-related expenses. The organization will provide participants with a choice of affordable airfare deals. Volunteers will qualify for the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. The programmes run in over forty urban and rural locations across China, with a base in Yangshuo, Guangxi where all volunteers are invited to spend five nights at the end of their camp.

Main criteria

  • In order to participate, candidates must be 18 years of age and older;
  • Applicants need to submit an online form and include their CV.

Recruiters will contact applicants within 14 days. Successful candidates will have an online interview with prospective projects in China before let you know where you’ll be heading next summer. The confirmation of your place on the programme will occur in Spring 2018. Applicants are judged on their merits and are not discriminated in any way.
