Forget Weather Forecast - Follow The Nature

Written by

A couple of weeks ago, during February, Europe experienced very cold temperatures dropping down to - 20°C at night and not going above -10°C during the days. While in January, it seemed that spring would come early this year, the entire scenario changed rapidly, almost overnight. Not quite the same in the opinion of a bunch of yellow crocuses in our garden. The extreme cold did not bother them at all and they were happily blooming in temperatures of -13°C and colder. As it seems, at the end, nature knows better about the timing of the seasons.

Feb 26, 2018 at 8:04 with the temperature -13,4°C the crocuses were more than alive.

The temperatures were even close to -20°C during some nights, but the bunch of yellow crocuses did not just survive but seemed to be doing very well. Taken March 13, 2018

And there was more to come.

So we thought we would decorate a small part of the garden with white stones. The flowers were of a different opinion :-)

There is a layer of the stones and underneath that, a garden textile which prevents the growth of weed. Some forgotten tulips and crocus bulbs still made it.

The forgotten tulips bulbs are finding their own weird ways to come up now.

Snowdrops typically herald the arrival of spring.
