If you have a spot for the extreme experiences such as BASE jumping, paragliding and etc. this is not something you would want to miss. Dubbed the “Mothership Space Net Penthouse”, this massive aerial space net is situated 122 meters above rugged desert terrain in Moab, Utah. The creator of this high-altitude hammock is Andy Lewis, who spent eight years in perfecting his masterpiece.
“It wasn’t until just a few weeks ago that I thought the pentagon idea was actually possible,” Lewis explains. “I calculated the approximate size I wanted the net to be and acquired the proper materials to build it. This took a few years as well considering that every piece involved needed to be extremely strong, redundant and therefore expensive. Since the moment the last of the pieces arrived on my doorstep I’ve literally had help every step of the way to complete this truly monstrous project”.
He had help of course – a team of 50 hard-working highliners, BASE jumpers and other volunteers helped hand-weaving and rigging up the giant net in just three days.
